Benevity to Power Innovation in Corporate Giving

Charity-of-choice donation option built into 2010 Aviva Community Fund site

Benevity Social Ventures, Inc. (www.benevity.org) is pleased to announce that it has been chosen to embed user-directed charitable donations into the 2010 Aviva Community Fund competition www.avivacommunityfund.org.

The Aviva Community Fund: Now with Optional Charitable Giving The Aviva Community Fund launches for its second year on September 27, 2010 and Aviva Canada Inc. has committed to give $1,000,000 to fund the winning ideas for community change (which can be submitted by anyone in Canada). New to the Aviva Community Fund this year is the ability for site visitors to give to any registered charity that is the subject of an idea submission. Benevity will power the donation processing and tax receipting functionality for the Aviva Community Fund site.

This competition continues to truly reinforce our mission to help the neighbourhoods where our customers, employees, brokers and partners live, work and play, everyday. Adding donation capability to the Aviva Community Fund to enable people to support causes that are important to them is a natural extension of an already engaging, participative model for community investment,” said Paul Fletcher, Senior Vice President.
