Tag a friend whose passion for that nonprofit matches yours.

Official Sweepstake Rules

Eligibility. No purchase necessary. Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws apply. In order to be eligible, you must: 1) respond to or comment on Benevity Inc.’s (the “Sponsor”) original #MyPeerMatch social media posts on any of its social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) with the name of a nonprofit that you support, and 2) @mention one friend whose passion for that nonprofit matches yours during the Sweepstake Period (defined below). Limit one (1) entry per unique social media account and per person. If you comment more than once, all comments will be counted as one entry only. No other entry method will be accepted. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void, as are entries that are illegible, garbled, incomplete, discriminatory, offensive or that contain errors or objectionable content, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Normal time, toll, connection and usage rates, if any, charged by your Internet service provider may apply for your use of LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter. You agree that the Sponsor may, at any time, in whole or in part, edit or modify your entry, or remove your entry, from the Sponsor’s social media post(s) and/or may disqualify you from the Sweepstake at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor may cancel the Sweepstake at any time in its sole discretion.
Sponsor: This Sweepstake is sponsored by Benevity, Inc., located at 700, 611 Meredith Road NE Calgary, AB, Canada.
Prize: Ten (10) prizes of $500 CDN (or equivalent in USD) digital charitable gift cards redeemable at https://goodnessmatters.benevity.org/community/redeem-a-giftcard. Such gift cards will be redeemed as donations via the Sponsor’s foundation partners, American Online Giving Foundation and Canadian Online Giving Foundation, as applicable (each, a “Donation”).
Winner Selection: An online username generator will be used to randomly select ten (10) winners from all the entries submitted via our social media posts across all of our social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter) using entry usernames.
Sweepstake Period: The Sweepstake starts on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (“MST”) and ends on Monday, October 18 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (“MST”) (the “Sweepstake Period”), after which time the Sweepstake will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted. After October 18, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. MST, the Sweepstake can be extended or canceled, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Donation Eligibility: Only charities and nonprofits currently registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (United States) or as a registered charity under the Income Tax Act (Canada) are eligible to receive a Donation. The Sponsor reserves the right to determine the recipient of the Donation, in its sole discretion.
Donation Mechanics: Donations will be made to the recipient nonprofits on a monthly disbursement cycle. Donation disbursements are subject to a 2.9% Charity Support Fee. Charities: please read our Terms of Use for more details: https://causes.benevity.org/terms-of-use . Donations will not be subject to donor designations, which means the nonprofit will be able to allocate the Donations where it determines that they are needed most, and not to a specific project, event or initiative. Donations will not be tax deductible or tax effective.
License: By participating in the Sweepstake, you grant the Sponsor the right to use, reproduce, display (publicly or otherwise), publish or distribute any images, data or other information you submit as part of your entry for any marketing material or other related purposes.
Release: By participating in the Sweepstake, you agree to release the Sponsor, its affiliates, American Online Giving Foundation, Canadian Online Giving Foundation and its and their directors, officers and employees from any claims or liability arising from participation in the Sweepstake and the Donation(s).
