Modern Slavery Statement
Financial Year ending March 31, 2025
Introduction
At Benevity, Inc. (“Benevity”), we are dedicated to conducting our business ethically, with integrity, and in compliance with the laws and regulations of the countries in which we operate. This commitment extends to ensuring that our business operations and supply chains are free from modern slavery and human trafficking. As a proud B Corp certified organization, we are not only committed to innovation and excellence in our Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings but also to making a positive impact on our society and the environment. This Modern Slavery Statement reflects our unwavering commitment to
preventing modern slavery in any form within our organization and our supply chains.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Benevity, a British Columbia corporation, specializes in providing cutting-edge SaaS solutions to clients globally. Our operations are headquartered in Canada and we have four international subsidiaries based in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain and the United States.
We work with a network of service providers, suppliers, and partners that span multiple countries. Our supply chain includes the sourcing of software, hardware, event spaces and coordination, marketing and customer service support. Due to the nature of the services provided by Benevity and the nature of the services typically procured, we assess that we are at a generally low risk of facilitating or otherwise being engaged in modern slavery.
Policies and Due Diligence Processes
We have in place a Code of Conduct (Do the Right Thing) that outlines our commitment to compliance with laws and ethical business practices. All Benevity employees complete training when they join us and at least annually thereafter to ensure they remain aware of and agree to comply with our Code of Conduct, as well as our other relevant policies and procedures and applicable law.
We also have an ESG policy detailing our commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and sound governance, including a requirement that we partner with organizations that align with our ESG values and are committed to ethical, sustainable practices. Through our procurement process, we engage in a due diligence process that includes risk assessments and vetting of suppliers to ensure that they share our ethical standards. In the coming year, we aim to develop and implement a Modern Slavery Policy to complement our existing policies and procedures.
Our Commitment
Benevity commits to:
● Continuously improve our practices to identify, prevent, and mitigate any risks of modern slavery in our business operations and supply chains.
● Engage with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders transparently to ensure mutual compliance with our ethical standards.
● Report transparently on our efforts and progress in addressing modern slavery risks.
Reporting and Performance Review
We will review our modern slavery statement annually to reflect our ongoing commitment and improvements in combating modern slavery. This statement is approved by our Board of Directors and will be made available on our corporate website for public access.
