The challenge
Definity and their people had already been doing a ton of good with Benevity since 2017 through their employee platform, iCare, which supports giving, matching and volunteering. As their social impact strategy evolved, the company was looking for additional software to help support a streamlined granting process where they could easily track, review and report on their impact — all while engaging even more of their people.
The solution
Definity’s Community Investment team expanded their partnership with Benevity and adopted our community investment solution for three main reasons.
Maximized program efficiency and outcomes
Bringing their employee giving program together with their new granting program meant Definity was able to efficiently learn about, and track, nonprofits that were important in their communities, their people, and aligned with their values and goals.
A more integrated and balanced approach
Not only did Definity now have data about the nonprofits their people cared about to inform their strategy, but they also had the technology to help their people get involved. Employees could bring forward hyper-local opportunities for Definity to support through volunteering and giving with corporate matching program to allow for a balanced approach of national and local impact.
