Luciana Bonifacio

Luciana Bonifacio is Chief Development Officer at Save the Children. In this role, she oversees the organization’s efforts to mobilize private support for domestic and international programs. Under her leadership, the organization has raised more than $200 million a year through partnerships with foundations, corporations, and major donors to accelerate the organization’s growth.

 
Since joining Save the Children in 2000, Luciana has established or expanded partnerships with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks and The Walt Disney Company. She co-chairs Save the Children’s global Partnerships and Philanthropy Leadership Group to bring the best knowledge and focus to private donor engagement throughout the global organization. She also previously chaired Save the Children’s Global Corporate Partnerships Group.  

Luciana has been interviewed for her insights on public-private partnerships and fundraising by media outlets such as The Chronicle of Philanthropy, NonProfit PRO and NBC Connecticut. She also has participated in speaking engagements on these same topics at events hosted by Classy, clubs at Harvard Business School, Yale Social Impact Conference and the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as well as the FSG Shared Value Leadership Summit and private events on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, among others.

Born in Argentina, Luciana earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Buenos Aires and began her career in the fashion industry.
