Nicole Garrison

A journalist by training and trade, Nicole spent the first decade of her career in newsrooms covering a variety of major events including the aftermath of 9/11, the 2008-09 financial crisis and the Occupy Wall Street movement. Since leaving journalism, she’s worked as a senior corporate communications leader at the Minnesota Department of Commerce and U.S. Bank. She joined RBC in 2014 as head of communications for the U.S. Wealth Management division. Nicole holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and history from the University of Minnesota. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Children’s Museum and is a past board member for the Greater Twin Cities United Way, University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication Alumni Board, and the downtown Minneapolis YMCA.
